Payment Details
Once Bidding has closed, the a representative from the Town will contact the successful bidder by phone to notify them of and will email an invoice. The successful bidder shall be responsible for coordinating with the Town's Vehicle Maintenance Superintendent to schedule a time and date to pick up their items. They can be reached at 508-660-7329. Note that the Vehicle Maintenance Department will NOT be available from 12-1pm. DO NOT SHOW UP WITHOUT MAKING AN APPOINTMENT. Once you have scheduled an appointment for pick-up with the Vehicle Maintenance Department, the successful bidder shall present personal identification, a certified or cashier’s check written by or on a local financial institution and payable to the order of “Town of Walpole” for the total amount of the item and before receiving the bill of sale, keys, and item. Payment for this item shall be accepted at the Department of Public Works, Walpole, MA. **No cash, credit cards or personal checks will be accepted.**Again, only after receipt of payment will the Town issue the bill of sale, keys, and items to the awarded bidder. The Town WILL NOT assist in moving, starting, jumping, or loading any item, as these responsibilities will be expected of the buyer. Please come to pick up your items prepared (with Jump Boxes, Straps, Chains, or anything you may need to retrieve your item). At any time, the Town of Walpole reserves the right to reject any bid submission.
