A bank check made out to the City of Northampton will be required before picking up the item. Please remit payment via certified check made payable to the City of Northampton. The check should be mailed to the attention of William Coffey at the address provided below. Payment terms are Net 15, requiring receipt of payment within 15 days from the date of invoice issuance. Item Description
This 2003 Ford Windstar was a maintenance vehicle for the City of Northampton’s Central Services department. The van features only a driver’s seat and passenger seat, with an empty rear space. It is currently non-operational and was involved in an accident on November 5, 2010, where it was declared a total loss, but was later salvaged and repaired by the City.
The vehicle is being sold "AS IS" with no warranties or guarantees of any kind, and ALL SALES ARE FINAL. This vehicle will require repairs to become functional. The buyer is responsible for picking up the vehicle, including arranging and covering the cost of towing.

The vehicle is inoperable due to several issues. It has brake problems, including a frozen emergency brake, and the engine frequently stalls and performs inconsistently. The check engine light is on, and a mechanic estimated that repairs would be costly. The vehicle was T-boned in 2011, declared a total loss, but later salvaged and repaired by the City. It was last driven in October 2022. It does not start, is not drivable, and was last inspected in 2011.

What if the selling agency rejects my bid?
If the government agency rejects your bid (they reserve the right to do so) your buyer's fee will be returned, in full, to you within 5 days of notification to Municibid of the rejected bid by the governing body.
