When responding to a question, I indicated there was a slip in the transmission. No slip in the transmission was felt after two test drives. I believe I was mistakenly thinking of another vehicle in our fleet & apologize for any confusion. I encourage interested persons to inspect the vehicle for themselves.

"Are maintenance records available? When was the last time the vehicle was used? Is there any check engine lights or known mechanical issues? " - Asked by #47558680 10/25/2024 10:24 AM |
A: |
The vehicle was used up until around a month ago but not on a daily basis. I do not have maintenance records available. There are no check engine lights on. Other than a slip in the transmission, there are no other known mechanical issues.

"How often is the transmission slip? Are all gears operable? What gear does it normally happen in? " - Asked by #47558680 10/26/2024 10:32 AM |
A: |
Slip was only felt when starting from a stop but has not been diagnosed.

Q: |
"WHY WAS THE BAD TRANSMISSION NOT IN THE ITEM DESCRIPTION? It should have been mentioned there without fail. If that specific question had not been asked by that bidder we would never know the transmission costing THOUSANDS will need replacement. You need to add that significant defect your vehicle description. It may be interpreted as deceptive. Please be honest with us." - Asked by #17512781 10/29/2024 06:07 AM |
A: |
I apologize for the oversight but I intended to update the posting today. After a test drive yesterday, no slip was detected. I believe the issue was confused with another vehicle but welcome anyone to come inspect the vehicle for themselves to assess its condition.

"Thank you for the apology but I see that the initial description at the top of the listing has still not been corrected detailing the slipping transmission. As a mechanic I can tell you that the slip/delay from a stopped position is going to result in a complete failure. It will have a total failure soon and there is no small repair for that worn out transmission. Unless someone scrolls down to the Q & A here, they will never know about a serious transmission issue. " - Asked by #17512781 10/30/2024 08:56 PM |

I have updated the description.
