Payment in full is due to The Town of New Marlborough no later than Tuesday, January 14, 2025, five working days after the vote. Payment should be made with a certified check, cashier’s check or money order. No cash or personal checks accepted. Please note, it may take 2-3 days to process payment once it is received.
Item Description
This used green camouflage 1986 D30 Chevrolet military pickup truck with approximately 75,900 original miles was acquired by the New Marlborough, Massachusetts Highway Department in September of 2016 as military surplus equipment. This truck has had regularly scheduled maintenance, but currently does not run without a jump start because the batteries need replacement. This is an 8 cylinder, automatic transmission truck with rust, and normal wear and tear of the interior expected in a truck of this age. A new floor pan is included for the driver's side floor. A key will be provided. All tires are in fair condition. A plow frame is attached and will be included in the purchase along with the plow. Please note: this truck does not have a transferrable title.
This truck will be sold as is. This truck will be sold where is. All prospective bidders are encouraged to inspect the truck or ask questions before bidding. This auction will be closed at 11:00 am on Monday, January 6, 2025, and results of the auction will be voted on by the Board of Selectmen that evening. The Town of New Marlborough reserves the right to accept or deny any and all bids. This truck must be removed by the purchaser before January 22, 2025, 10 business days after bid has been awarded. This truck will not be shipped. The highway crew will be happy to assist with jump starting the vehicle, or loading it to be towed.

- Winning bid: $550,000: = Buyers fee: $30,000 (8% of $100,000 = $8,000) + 5% of $400,000 = $20,000) + (4% of $50,000 = $2,000).

What if the selling agency rejects my bid?
If the government agency rejects your bid (they reserve the right to do so) your buyer's fee will be returned, in full, to you within 5 days of notification to Municibid of the rejected bid by the governing body.

If your credit card is declined for insufficient funds, you will be charged a $50 fee.
