Payment Details

Payment must be made with Cashier's Check, Treasurer's Check, Certified Check, or U.S. Postal Money Order payable to the Town of Chelmsford at the time of pickup – no personal or business checks will be accepted. There are no refunds. Payment and pickup must be within twenty (20) calendar days from the date of the end of the auction. The winning bidder is responsible for transportation costs for the pickup of each item.

Item Description

Approximately 5,200 cubic yards of sand/salt mix. Ratio is about 3 parts sand to 1 part salt.

Pile has sat dormant for over nine years.

The Town will load the material. Successful bidder must haul the entire pile off the site within 20 calendar days of auction close.

Sand/salt pile may be viewed by appointment only, Monday-Friday between 8AM and 2PM. Call Joe Ericksen at 978-265-1128.

The Town of Chelmsford reserves the right to reject any or all bids and does not provide any guarantees and/or warranties relative to any item being sold. Each item is being sold "AS IS". Payment must be made with Cashier's Check, Treasurer's Check, Certified Check, or U.S. Postal Money Order payable to the Town of Chelmsford at the time of pickup – no personal or business checks will be accepted. There are no refunds. Payment and pickup must be within twenty (20) calendar days from the date of the end of the auction. The winning bidder is responsible for transportation costs for the pickup of each item. The winning bidder must also submit a signed “Certificate of Non-Collusion” (provided by municipality) prior to receipt of property as required by Massachusetts General Law Chapter 30B, Section 10.
