Once bidding has closed, the Town will notify the successful bidder via email and provide an invoice. The successful bidder is responsible for contacting the DPW at 781-826-3189 to schedule a designated date and time for item pickup. Items will not be released without a confirmed appointment. At the time of pickup, the successful bidder must present valid identification and submit payment in full in the form of a check made payable to the “Town of Hanover.” A bill of sale and the item will be released only after payment has been received and processed. The Town reserves the right to reject any and all bids at its discretion. All sales are final. Items are sold as-is, with no warranties, refunds, or exchanges.

To schedule an inspection, interested parties may contact the Department of Public Works at 781-826-3189 to arrange an appointment. By submitting a bid, the bidder acknowledges that they have either inspected the item or voluntarily waived their right to do so, and accepts the item in its current condition, including but not limited to mileage, trim level, and any visible and/or mechanical defects. Submission of a bid constitutes a binding agreement to purchase the item if awarded. The successful bidder shall complete the transaction regardless of any defects or conditions discovered before or after the close of bidding. Upon the close of bidding, the Town will notify the successful bidder via email and issue an invoice. The successful bidder shall contact the Department of Public Works at 781-826-3189 to schedule a pickup appointment. No item(s) shall be released without a scheduled appointment. At the time of pickup, the successful bidder must present valid identification and remit full payment in the form of a check payable to the “Town of Hanover.” No item(s) or bill of sale shall be released until payment has been received and confirmed. The Town of Hanover shall not provide assistance with loading, removal, or transportation of the item(s). The successful bidder is solely responsible for removal and must provide all necessary labor, equipment, and materials. The Town of Hanover reserves the right to reject any and all bids, in whole or in part, if deemed to be in the best interest of the Town. All sales are final. No refunds, returns, or exchanges shall be permitted under any circumstances.
