A:	they removed both axles and driveshaft from front diff and re-assemble minus axles to make unit operate as a rear wheel drive only for now until decision can be reached on replacement of ring gear/pinion/carrier assy.in front diff drain oil out and put silicone caps in ends of axle housing to keep contaminants out of housing. -Answered on 05/20/2026 01:15 PM
